We are living in a time where the life style we are in or the decisions we make affect the environment in one way or the other. When it comes to protecting our beautiful earth every one has a role to play.
It could be a proper waste disposal, recycling of waste, using eco-friendly products, using renewable sources of energy, using less paper, planting more trees, saving water, using bicycle instead of a car or even using an electric car. We all have a role in it.
Educating ourselves on technologies, systems or processes help us to make informed decisions and be more efficient in protecting our green earth. What to buy and what not to buy, going digital or paper, plastic or paper, bike or electric car, to make all these decisions we need information and understanding.
Sometimes, it’s not about avoiding a thing completely, but to use it in a controlled way. Say, can we completely avoid using plastics now? Hmm, I will say it may be very hard. But we can reduce some of those single use plastic items, like shopping bags or plastic straws. If we look into our life styles, we can find some things which we can use it less, in a controlled way or can replace with an eco-friendly product. Less light usage, saving water, planting trees, using re-usable shopping bags and how many more things! All or at least some of these can be integrated into our lives.
My experience in engineering and research combined with a fascination for green technologies encouraged me to create this website.
It all started with a passion. A passion to protect our environment, a passion to reduce pollution, a passion to breathe healthy air, and a passion to preserve our Earth and its resources for our future generation. Having a degree in agricultural engineering and experience in agricultural research may have all fueled to bring me closer to the environment.
Staying informed and making smart buying decisions is critical especially during this time of climate change and global warming. The question “what to buy?” is accompanied by “where to find information?”. This website gives you some insights on going green, what to buy, how to save some money, education on going green, protecting our environment and all.
The actions we do every day is closely connected to the environment and can have a favorable or an adverse effect on our planet. Say, what you purchase, how you purchase, what you eat, how you travel, how much electricity and water you use, everything is connected to our environment. However, writing more is not enough, but acting more is needed. Stay informed, make smart decisions and let us work together for the well being of our planet and future generation.
